Transit
Saturn in Aries.
Saturn returned to Aries to stay on February 13, 2026 and works through it until April 12, 2028 — about two and a half years of being asked to build something that's genuinely yours, the slow, unglamorous way.

The mechanics
What's happening
Saturn in Aries
Saturn — the planet of structure, limits, and consequence — first entered Aries on May 24, 2025, retreated into Pisces on September 1, 2025, and returned to Aries for the full transit on February 13, 2026. It stays until April 12, 2028, then moves into Taurus.
Where Saturn in Pisces (2023–2026) dissolved boundaries and asked you to surrender, soften, and let go, Saturn in Aries does the opposite: it puts discipline behind action. Aries is initiative, courage, and the raw will to begin — so Saturn here rewards the thing you actually start and finish, and slowly wears down the bravado that never gets built.
It isn't traveling alone. Neptune entered Aries in the same window, and the two were exactly conjunct at the very first degree of Aries on February 20, 2026 — a pairing that comes around only about every 36 years. That's the backdrop for the whole transit: a vision (Neptune) being handed a bill (Saturn) — build it for real, or watch it stay a daydream.
The tell
What it feels like
- Pressure to stop talking about the thing and actually start it — on your own, if that's what it takes.
- Less tolerance for drift, and a colder, clearer read on what you've been putting off.
- Frustration when raw enthusiasm hits a wall — Saturn slows Aries down on purpose, so the start is built to last.
- Wherever the early degrees of Aries sit in your chart is where you're being asked to grow up, take the lead, and do the work.

How long it lasts
Brace, or build?
Saturn is in Aries from February 13, 2026 through April 12, 2028 — about two and a half years, the time Saturn spends in every sign. It retrogrades once along the way, from July 26 to December 10, 2026, backing up through the degrees it already crossed; that's the review pass, where what you started gets pressure-tested before it sets. Saturn moves degree by degree, so it works through the Aries part of your chart in sequence, not all at once — a season of your life to build through, not a single date to brace for.

What to do with it
Somewhere to go
Pick the one thing you've been waiting for permission, or perfect conditions, to begin — and begin the small, real, unimpressive version of it now. Saturn in Aries rewards the person who starts over the one who keeps planning to. Build the discipline; don't just admire the idea of it.
Common questions
Questions, answered
Is Saturn in Aries affecting me right now?
Yes — it's a collective transit, in effect from February 13, 2026 through April 12, 2028, so everyone is under it. How personally you feel it depends on where the early degrees of Aries fall in your birth chart: that house is the area of life Saturn is asking you to take seriously and build. You'll feel it most directly if you have planets or angles in the early degrees of Aries, or of the other cardinal signs — Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn.
When did Saturn enter Aries, and how long does it stay?
Saturn first entered Aries on May 24, 2025, slipped back into Pisces on September 1, 2025, and returned to Aries for the full transit on February 13, 2026. It stays until April 12, 2028 — about two and a half years — before moving into Taurus.
Is Saturn in Aries my Saturn return?
It is if you were born between roughly 1996 and 1998 — the last stretch Saturn spent in Aries. Anyone born then has natal Saturn in Aries, and Saturn coming back to that spot now is exactly what a Saturn return is. If that's you, the weight you're feeling is your Saturn return landing on schedule, around age 28 to 30.
What is the Saturn–Neptune conjunction in Aries?
Saturn and Neptune both moved into Aries in 2025–2026 and met at the first degree of the sign, exact on February 20, 2026 — an alignment that comes around only about every 36 years and doesn't repeat this time (it's a single pass). In plain terms it's realism meeting idealism: the dream Neptune in Aries stirs up gets Saturn's demand to make it real or let it go. The two stay close in early Aries through 2026.
