Jupiter opposition your Ascendant.

Jupiter expands whatever it touches: it enlarges, opens, over-promises and pays out. It brings opportunity, confidence and growth, and the risk of too much. Your Ascendant is your rising sign: how you meet the world, your body and appearance, and in Whole Sign astrology the doorway to your first house and every house after it.

An opposition puts the transiting planet directly across the chart from your natal point: the two drives face each other, usually through another person or an outside event, and the tension asks for a balance. Oppositions arrive through relationships. Here the transiting Jupiter makes a opposition to your natal Ascendant, so Jupiter's drive meets how you meet the world at that angle. Jupiter runs a twelve-year cycle, so this contact repeats every twelve years at the same angle.

Jupiter takes about a year per sign, so a transit to one point lasts a few weeks on a single pass, or up to nine months when the retrograde loop brings three passes. The felt window is roughly a month either side of each exact pass.

Say yes to the partnership that enlarges your life, and keep your own name on the door. Jupiter on the Descendant is the best window for commitment in the cycle.
