The mechanics
What's happening
Neptune square your Moon
Neptune dissolves whatever it touches: it softens, blurs, idealizes and lets go. It brings imagination, compassion and longing, and the fog in which it is hard to see what is real. Your Moon is your emotional nature: what you need, how you react, where you feel safe, and your body's daily rhythm.
A square puts the transiting planet ninety degrees from your natal point: the two drives cross at right angles, and the friction forces a change. Squares are the transits that make things happen, usually through a problem. Here the transiting Neptune makes a square to your natal Moon, so Neptune's drive meets your Moon at that angle. Neptune runs a 165-year cycle, so each angle to this point happens once, if at all.
The tell
What it feels like
- Vague sadness, anxiety or longing without a cause.
- Home or family involves confusion, illness or deception.
- You feel unmoored and want to disappear.

How long it lasts
Brace, or build?
Neptune takes about fourteen years per sign, so a transit to one point lasts about two years across up to five passes. It is felt as a slow season rather than an event: a year of fog, a year of clearing.
The move
What to do with it
Somewhere to go
Keep the routine like a lifeline. Name one feeling a day in writing. Do not make permanent home decisions in the fog; it lifts.
