The mechanics
What's happening
Jupiter opposition your Venus
Jupiter expands whatever it touches: it enlarges, opens, over-promises and pays out. It brings opportunity, confidence and growth, and the risk of too much. Your Venus is how you love and what you value: relationships, pleasure, money as worth, and taste.
An opposition puts the transiting planet directly across the chart from your natal point: the two drives face each other, usually through another person or an outside event, and the tension asks for a balance. Oppositions arrive through relationships. Here the transiting Jupiter makes a opposition to your natal Venus, so Jupiter's drive meets your Venus at that angle. Jupiter runs a twelve-year cycle, so this contact repeats every twelve years at the same angle.
The tell
What it feels like
- Someone gives lavishly and expects the same.
- Attraction runs high and judgment runs low.
- A relationship's finances or expectations outgrow the structure.

How long it lasts
Brace, or build?
Jupiter takes about a year per sign, so a transit to one point lasts a few weeks on a single pass, or up to nine months when the retrograde loop brings three passes. The felt window is roughly a month either side of each exact pass.
The move
What to do with it
Somewhere to go
Match the generosity you receive, in kind, not in scale. The opposition balances when both people are honest about what they want.
