Jupiter conjunct your Ascendant.

Jupiter expands whatever it touches: it enlarges, opens, over-promises and pays out. It brings opportunity, confidence and growth, and the risk of too much. Your Ascendant is your rising sign: how you meet the world, your body and appearance, and in Whole Sign astrology the doorway to your first house and every house after it.

A conjunction puts the transiting planet on the same degree as your natal point: the two merge, and the planet's drive becomes the point's drive for the duration. It is the most direct and total contact. Here the transiting Jupiter makes a conjunction to your natal Ascendant, so Jupiter's drive meets how you meet the world at that angle. Jupiter runs a twelve-year cycle, so this contact repeats every twelve years at the same angle.

Jupiter takes about a year per sign, so a transit to one point lasts a few weeks on a single pass, or up to nine months when the retrograde loop brings three passes. The felt window is roughly a month either side of each exact pass.

Start the public thing now: the business, the move, the role. Jupiter on the Ascendant is the launch window of the twelve-year cycle.
