The mechanics
What's happening
Neptune in Aries
Neptune — the planet of dreams, ideals, illusion, and dissolution — made its first ingress into Aries on March 30, 2025, slipped back into Pisces on October 22, 2025, and re-enters Aries for the long haul on January 26, 2026. It then stays in Aries until 2038–2039.
Neptune was last in Aries roughly 1861–1875 — an era of war, abolition, and radical reinvention of who a nation was. Where Neptune in Pisces (2011–2025) dissolved old boundaries, Neptune in Aries dreams up the new self that replaces them: a more militant, pioneering, do-it-yourself kind of idealism.
Because Neptune spent late 2025 finishing in Pisces, 2026 is the real beginning of the Aries chapter — the first clean year of the new dream.
The tell
What it feels like
- A restless idealism — less 'we are all one,' more 'I will go build the new thing myself.'
- New spiritual and creative movements that prize courage and the individual over surrender.
- The risk of inspired delusion: certainty that runs ahead of the facts, charismatic new leaders and causes.
- Personally: wherever early Aries sits in your chart is where your imagination, faith, and blind spots all sharpen at once.

How long it lasts
Brace, or build?
Generational: Neptune is effectively in Aries from January 26, 2026 (after the March–October 2025 preview) through 2038–2039. It's slow and foggy by nature, so the themes seep in over years rather than arriving on a date.
The move
What to do with it
Somewhere to go
Aim the new idealism instead of just feeling it. Neptune in Aries over-rewards inspired action and quietly punishes inspired self-deception — so pick one ideal worth building, and keep one honest person who's allowed to tell you when the dream has outrun the facts.
Common questions
Questions, answered
Is Neptune in Aries affecting me now?
It's a collective transit, so yes — but gently. Neptune settled into Aries for good on January 26, 2026, which makes 2026 the real first year of the shift. You'll feel it most where early Aries sits in your chart, and most directly if you have planets or angles in the first degrees of Aries, or of the other cardinal signs — Cancer, Libra, Capricorn.
When did Neptune enter Aries, and how long does it last?
Neptune first entered Aries on March 30, 2025, slipped back into Pisces on October 22, 2025, and settled into Aries for the long haul on January 26, 2026. It stays until 2038–2039 — roughly a fourteen-year chapter.
What does Neptune in Aries mean?
Where Neptune in Pisces (2011–2025) dissolved old boundaries, Neptune in Aries dreams up what replaces them — a more pioneering, do-it-yourself idealism. The gift is inspired action; the trap is inspired self-deception, certainty that runs ahead of the facts. Aim the dream, and keep one honest person who can tell you when it's outrunning reality.
