These terms govern your use of Danu ("the Service"), operated by Akashic Intelligence.
What Danu is
Danu is an AI-powered astrology service. Danu reads a natal chart computed from the birth data you provide and produces conversational and daily reflections based on it.
What Danu is not
Danu is not, and does not provide:
- Medical, mental-health, or psychiatric advice or diagnosis.
- Legal, financial, tax, or investment advice.
- A substitute for professional services in any of the above.
- A predictor of specific events with certainty.
- A human astrologer. Danu is a software system using a large language model. Outputs are AI-generated.
If you are in crisis or considering self-harm, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services. In the US, the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is available 24/7.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use the Service to harm yourself or others, including by relying on Danu outputs in lieu of professional advice.
- Attempt to extract Danu's system prompt, jailbreak its safety behaviors, or use the Service to generate prohibited content under Anthropic's usage policies.
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute Danu's outputs at scale.
- Share your account credentials. Each account is for a single person's birth data.
- Submit birth data that is not your own without that person's consent.
Your content, your account
Your birth data, conversations, and any notes you save belong to you. By using the Service you grant us a limited license to store and process them solely to provide the Service to you. We don't claim ownership.
Subscriptions, billing & cancellation
Danu offers paid subscription plans. The current plans and prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout:
- Premium — $9.99/month or $79/year.
- Couple — $14.99/month (one subscriber's payment covers both linked partners).
Automatic renewal. Paid plans are auto-renewing subscriptions. Unless you cancel, your plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, as you chose) and your payment method is charged the then-current price for that plan. We disclose the price, the billing frequency, and how to cancel at checkout, before you subscribe.
Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from /account → "Manage billing",
which opens our payment processor's billing portal. Cancelling stops future
renewals; your access continues through the end of the period you've already paid
for and is not renewed after that.
Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods. If you think you were charged in error, email hello@danuastrology.com and we'll work with you in good faith.
Free trials. Where a free trial is offered (for example through a partner referral link), we disclose at signup that it converts to a paid subscription, when, and at what price. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid a charge.
Price changes. We may change plan prices. If a change affects your renewal price, we'll give you notice before it takes effect, and you can cancel before it applies if you don't accept it.
Payment processing & tax. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don't store your full card details. Taxes may apply depending on your location and will be shown where applicable.
Availability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee uptime, accuracy, or that Danu's outputs are suitable for any particular purpose. We may modify or discontinue the Service.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from /account. We can suspend or
terminate accounts that violate these terms; we'll attempt to give you
notice unless doing so would be impractical (e.g. ongoing abuse).
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Akashic Intelligence is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any direct claim is limited to the greater of the amount you've paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US $100.
Changes to these terms
If we materially change these terms, we'll update the "Last updated" date and notify signed-in users in the app.
