1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Danu ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. We may modify these Terms at any time, and such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Service

Danu is a personal astrology application that provides:

• Natal chart calculations and interpretations
• Daily astrological insights and transit analysis
• AI-powered astrological guidance through Danu
• Synastry and relationship compatibility analysis
• Solar and lunar return charts

Important: Danu is for entertainment and personal reflection purposes only. Astrological interpretations should not be used as a substitute for professional advice in medical, legal, financial, or psychological matters.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Danu offers both free and paid subscription tiers. For paid subscriptions:

• Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on your chosen plan.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with 30 days notice. Price changes will take effect at your next renewal.
• Refunds: Subscription fees are generally non-refundable, except as required by law or at our sole discretion.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. You will retain access until the end of your current billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the rights of others
• Harass, abuse, or harm another person
• Submit false or misleading information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our consent
• Scrape, data mine, or use automated systems to access the Service
• Circumvent any access restrictions or usage limits

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Danu and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our written permission.

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (such as birth data for circle members). By submitting content, you grant us a license to use, store, and process that content as necessary to provide the Service.

7. AI-Generated Content

Danu uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude) to generate astrological interpretations and guidance. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content is for entertainment and reflection purposes only
• AI responses may not always be accurate or appropriate
• You should not rely on AI guidance for important life decisions
• We are not responsible for any actions you take based on AI-generated content

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DANU SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Danu and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
