Jupiter opposition your Mars.

Jupiter expands whatever it touches: it enlarges, opens, over-promises and pays out. It brings opportunity, confidence and growth, and the risk of too much. Your Mars is your drive: how you want, act, fight, and go after what you need.

An opposition puts the transiting planet directly across the chart from your natal point: the two drives face each other, usually through another person or an outside event, and the tension asks for a balance. Oppositions arrive through relationships. Here the transiting Jupiter makes a opposition to your natal Mars, so Jupiter's drive meets your Mars at that angle. Jupiter runs a twelve-year cycle, so this contact repeats every twelve years at the same angle.

Jupiter takes about a year per sign, so a transit to one point lasts a few weeks on a single pass, or up to nine months when the retrograde loop brings three passes. The felt window is roughly a month either side of each exact pass.

Compete on purpose, with rules, and let the other person's push sharpen your aim. The opposition rewards a worthy opponent over an enemy.
