Pluto conjunct your Ascendant.

Pluto transforms whatever it touches: it strips, exposes, empowers and rebuilds from the foundation. It brings depth, power and permanent change, and the loss that comes first. Your Ascendant is your rising sign: how you meet the world, your body and appearance, and in Whole Sign astrology the doorway to your first house and every house after it.

A conjunction puts the transiting planet on the same degree as your natal point: the two merge, and the planet's drive becomes the point's drive for the duration. It is the most direct and total contact. Here the transiting Pluto makes a conjunction to your natal Ascendant, so Pluto's drive meets how you meet the world at that angle. Pluto runs a 248-year cycle, so each angle to this point happens once in a life.

Pluto takes between twelve and thirty years per sign, so a transit to one point lasts two to three years across up to five passes. It is the longest and most permanent transit there is: what changes under it does not change back.

Let the old self go completely and build the new one with integrity. Use the power to protect, not dominate. Pluto on the Ascendant starts a chapter of real authority.
