What Pluto rules
Pluto: the power in you
Pluto rules power and transformation: the buried, the intense, the things that end so something truer can begin. It's the slowest outer planet, working on generations — but where it sits in your chart is where you're periodically demolished and rebuilt, and where you wrestle with control.
It has an underworld reputation for a reason. Pluto deals in what we bury — power, obsession, taboo, death and rebirth — and it will not let you keep the surface version.
Rules Scorpio.
The tell
How it shows up
- It marks where you're intense, all-or-nothing, and drawn to what's hidden or forbidden.
- It's where you struggle with power — having it, giving it away, being controlled, controlling.
- Its transits are the ones that remake you: a total ending, a loss of control, a rebuild from the foundation up.
The hard part
The shadow
What to watch for
Pluto can grip and manipulate — control disguised as safety, obsession disguised as devotion, and the power struggle it swears it didn't start. It fears being powerless, so it grabs exactly where it needs to surrender.
The move
What to do with it
Somewhere to go
Let the dead thing die where Pluto sits. The transformation it offers only comes through the surrender it demands — release the control, face what's buried, and let yourself be remade rather than clinging to the version that's ending.
