What Neptune in Capricorn actually means
Neptune moves slowly, so its sign is shared by everyone born across a span of years rather than a personal trait: Neptune was in Capricorn from about 1984 to 1998. Neptune is dissolution, imagination, and longing; its sign says what each generation idealizes, escapes into, and is disillusioned by. In one chart, the house it sits in and the aspects it makes are where the generational theme becomes personal.
The older millennials dreamed of the career, the degree, and the system that would reward them, and arrived as the system failed.
