What Neptune in Sagittarius actually means
Neptune moves slowly, so its sign is shared by everyone born across a span of years rather than a personal trait: Neptune was in Sagittarius from about 1970 to 1984. Neptune is dissolution, imagination, and longing; its sign says what each generation idealizes, escapes into, and is disillusioned by. In one chart, the house it sits in and the aspects it makes are where the generational theme becomes personal.
Generation X dreamed of the open road, the eastern teacher, and a truth bigger than their parents' church, and learned to distrust anyone selling one.
