What it is
A square between Mercury and Mars
The square
A square is friction that works: two drives at cross-purposes, neither willing to yield. Charts that carry one tend to build something with the grinding — the tension is the engine.
Mercury: mind
Mercury is your mind at work — how you think, talk, learn, and connect the dots.
Mars: drive
Mars is your engine — drive, desire, and the way you fight for and go after what you want.
The tell
How it shows up
- You speak before you think and think too late.
- Arguments escalate around you, often not on purpose.
- You are frustrated by your own impatience.
The hard part
The shadow
Named, not flattered
Irritable thinking, accidents from haste, and words that cause fights you then have to clean up. Nervous tension that never fully discharges.
The move
What to do with it
Somewhere to go
Slow the hand: write it, wait, send it tomorrow. Put the drive into a skill that needs precision. The square makes a sharp, hard-working mind once it has a brake.
