What it is
Mercury, placed in the 11th house
The Mercury: mind
Mercury is your mind at work — how you think, talk, learn, and connect the dots.
Mercury rules the mind in motion: perception, language, learning, and the way you connect ideas and people. It's how you take the world in and how you hand it back out in words.
The 11th house: community
The 11th house is the wider circle — friends, community, the groups you belong to, and what you're hoping toward.
The eleventh house rules the collective around you: friendships, communities, networks, causes, and the future you're aiming at. If the tenth is your solo peak, the eleventh is the people you reach it with and for.
Put together: the Mercury’s drive acts in the 11thhouse’s area of life. Read on for what that produces.
The tell
How it shows up
- You are the one in the group who has the plan, the spreadsheet, or the theory of what we should do next.
- You make friends through ideas and keep them through conversation.
- You think ahead, in trends and systems, often before the people around you do.
The hard part
The shadow
Named, not flattered
You can think in the group's language so long that you lose your own. Ideas stay ideas: the plan is always for the future and never for Tuesday. Detachment becomes a way of never committing to a thought.
The move
What to do with it
Somewhere to go
Pick one idea the group loves and ship a small piece of it this month, yourself. And write down what you think when nobody is in the room.
